Richard Ward has joined Synergy Commercial Finance Ltd as an appointed representative, alongside his business partner, Roxy Seabourne. They will both be trading as Grange Business Finance.
Before setting up Grange Business Solutions, Richard spent just over 3 years working for a funder as a successful Key Account Manager. Richard managed a portfolio of approximately 80 brokers, which gave him the opportunity to develop relationships, be their funder of choice and to screen applications – to ensure they were appropriate.
For Richard, having his own business has always been an ambition. Who would have thought that 2020 would have been the year? Throughout lockdown, Richard cherished the time he spent with his family and realised that working 9-5 in an office environment wasn’t for him. This is when he came across Synergy Commercial Finance Ltd via social media and proceeded to research in more depth the ‘broker in a box’ offering.
Joining the network was a no brainer for Richard, he explained:
“Joining the network was a fantastic idea for us. We need support as we are not the finished article yet….there’s always room for improvement. The network allows us to call upon other people’s expertise. We also have the peace of mind that we are doing things correctly in line with legislation especially when it changes.
Having previously dealt with both Synergy and Asset Finance Solutions (UK) Ltd as a broker manager I could see the attraction. I also exhibited at the AFS Meet the Funder event in Birmingham in 2019 which is a nice touch.”
Richards background is in cashflow, he has a great understanding of the market, however, he is looking forward to emerging into property finance and invoice finance.
