Darren Palmer joins Asset Finance Solutions as a Franchisee trading as Copious Finance Limited.
Having begun in the industry at the age of 19 he has a wealth of knowledge. Including 23 years of experience in both soft & Hard Asset Finance, experience in Refinance, Commercial Vehicles and Vehicle recovery.
After working as an Account Manager for Capex Finance in 2001, Darren opted to become an independent broker in 2003, trading as Copious Finance. Until the credit crunch financial crisis in 2008, when Darren took advantage of the opportunity to study Real Estate at Birmingham City University. Following graduation, Darren began working in Asset Finance for a variety of companies, including Kennet Equipment Leasing, Capex Finance, Shawbrook Bank, and most recently, Anglo Scottish Asset Finance.
Darren gathered a good impression of what AFS represents and offers for brokers through speaking to our Group Compliance Director, Mike Geddes. Darren was drawn to becoming a Franchisee because of the benefits of feeling more independent. Liking what AFS has to offer, such as having access to multiple funders, the Finance Broker Academy and being a part of a growing organisation with the freedom to continue trading under his own brand, Copious Finance Limited.
Darren will be promoting his brand and growing his audience on LinkedIn with his network of over 1,000 followers. Also networking at events such as trade shows and recovery tow shows meeting with potential customers.
One of the main reasons Darren decided to become a broker was to connect with customers and watch their businesses thrive. He has built a loyal customer base with customers who have been with him for over 20 years thanks to his proactive and realistic approach to finance. Darren’s primary focus is on commercial vehicles, specialised vehicle recovery, specialty commercial vehicles, machine tools, and electric vehicles.
We’d like to wish Darren the best of luck and hope to see his business grow and flourish.
