Emma’s story began at HSBC, when a recruiter recognised Emma’s ability to connect with people and approached her with an enticing opportunity to become a broker. Emma embraced the challenge and gave her role as an employed broker everything over the 3 and half years she was there. She helped build the business in Scotland and Northern Ireland and became an advocate for Scotland and the Northern Irish broker /lender relationships.
The turning point came in October of this year, Emma made a bold decision to venture into self-employment. After extensive research, she found her ideal match in Synergy Commercial Finance, a network that resonated with her vision for growth and success. A meeting with Managing Director, Piotr Twaits, solidified her choice to join the network. Emma’s main driver is to create a culture where everyone feels valued and respected, and she feels the Synergy network aligns with her core values. She wanted the freedom to create her own business model that put culture first. Her main goal is to have a safe place for her employees, clients, and partners and to ensure that morals come before money.
Beyond her financial prowess, Emma holds a growing social media following—a platform she intends to leverage strategically. Exciting plans for a podcast in the new year will see Emma sharing insights on finance, business growth, diversity, and workplace culture. The podcast will feature industry experts from diverse backgrounds, providing a rich range of ideas and expertise.
Emma’s expertise spans a wide spectrum, from property transactions and commercial mortgages to bridging and development finance. Her portfolio extends to unsecured and secured loans, agricultural finance, and she has ambitions to expand her work with foreign nationals.
Emma’s exceptional contributions to the industry have not gone unnoticed. She won the prestigious NACFB Rising Star Award, a testament to her innovative approach and outstanding achievements. She also secured a spot in the Top 30 B&C UK Power List, solidifying her status as a powerhouse in commercial finance.
