Welcoming John Clarke, who has over 20 years of experience in both the Broker and Lending industry.
Having previously worked for Syscap and more recently Wesleyan Bank, John has a wealth of experience and knowledge in both the Broker and Lending community.
Over his career he has gained vast experience within sales, as a salesperson through to Business Development. Also having worked in Key Account Management, Managing Individuals as a Team Leader through to leading sales divisions and being part of the Senior Management Team.
“I am an extremely passionate, driven, and proven salesperson who places the customer at the heart of everything, providing the service that they require ensuring that they are provided with the most beneficial finance solution they require.” Says John.
John became a broker for the flexibility and the opportunities, “I also feel that a work and life balance is key, I will always work hard in order to support and manage customers’ expectations but having the ability to manage home life as well is key. Especially when you have 3 young children!” John adds.
What has drawn John to joining the AFS network is having access to an extensive funding panel. This gives him the ability to now have more control, more freedom and more independence to help his existing, as well as new clients. Which is important to him when managing customer relationships.
“Their access and relationship with funders are unquestionable, the range of funders on their panel enables me to do what I enjoy doing most, this is managing customer relationships and having the ability to support and manage their every funding requirement with the most suitable finance solution.” He adds.
His aim is to provide his clients with the experience that they are dealing with a trusted advisor who can support them with their every requirement.
“Nick, Justin, Mike, and the whole team was a huge attraction to me joining AFS. Having gotten to know them all over the years whilst being a funder, then I’ve had the chance to get to know them commercially and personally. But as equally important I have had the time to understand their proposition and ability to enable somebody like myself to have the help, support, and guidance to get up and running, and get on with what I want and need to do. Which is serve customers.” Says John.
His experience is mainly within the professions market, primarily Legal and Accountancy. More recently in the Medical Profession where he built and lead a team, who between them built a loan book of £300m in 5 years.
