Since our launch in October 2015, it has pretty much been a one-way street of continuous success and growth for Synergy Commercial Finance. From being a newly formed start-up just a little over four years ago we have steadily progressed and developed so that today we are among Britain’s most successful and most admired business financing companies. In fact such as been our impressive track record of growth that we are now in the process of further strengthening the business development management team within our York offices and we are delighted to announce the arrival of Melanie (Mel) Harris.
With her outstanding commercial banking and broking background we are delighted that Mel has chosen Synergy to further her own career and ambitions. We are extremely confident that together we will be able to develop and extend even further the unique service and support we already provide to all our national network of commercial finance brokers.
Thanks to her commercial finance experience Mel has all the attributes required of a Synergy business development manager and she is in a perfect position to support the unbeatable commercial finance deal packaging capability that has propelled Synergy to become one of the country’s top business financing companies.

For the past two-years Mel has been operating as a commercial finance broker, so she is very well aware of all the pressures, pitfalls and potential of this challenging sector. Prior to the experience she gained as a commercial finance broker, however, Mel worked with Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank for fifteen years, where she was involved in a number of roles across a wide spectrum of banking disciplines. Consequently she now has a fully rounded and comprehensive knowledge that has been gained from both sides of the commercial finance market.
We are confident that Mel will very quickly become an invaluable contributor to our York-based business development management team and we are delighted to welcome her into her new role working with one of Britain’s leading business financing companies.
