John Smithson is a self-motivated individual who has an incredible 30 years of experience in the finance industry. He prides himself on his ability to build and grow relationships with customers and funders, many of whom he has previously dealt with for well over 10 years.
John has worked in the agricultural sector for the last 23 years and was a loyal Area Manager at one of the UK’s biggest agricultural finance companies for the last 19 of those.
Becoming a broker really appeals to John, he hopes that taking this leap will enable him to have a better quality of life and use the experience and relationships he has already, to benefit him in the future.
One of the things that John missed in his old role was the traveling and meeting clients face to face; becoming a broker allows John to do more of this. In the last 13 years, John has achieved over 100% on all the targets he was tasked with and has every intention to continue to drive himself to give every client a bespoke service, tailored to their requirements.
For John, spending time at home with his family and dogs was a key part of becoming his own boss. Manipulating his working hours based around his work/life balance means he can spend quality time with both his family and his customers.
