Before we say goodbye to this year, we want to share with you our summary of 2020!
Despite the difficulties, 2020 has been yet another big success for our commercial loans business
Every year for the past five years, that’s every year since Synergy was first founded in 2015, we are delighted to report that our commercial loans business has continuously grown. This is because at Synergy we have carefully, professionally and consistently developed our business model to build on previous achievements. This year, 2020, began with a high level of optimism and confidence that our unbroken success story would continue to flourish and despite all the many difficulties that the coronavirus pandemic has thrown at the business community, here at Synergy we can once again report that it has been a successful twelve months. So as 2020 now draws to a close let’s look back at just a few of the major landmarks of a year that has been so very notable for good as well as bad reasons.
Additional staff
Back at the beginning of the year we once again expanded our staff level by recruiting Mel Harris as a Business Development Manager. 2020 may well have proved to be a ‘baptism of fire’ but along with everyone else on our staff, Mel has played a key role in ensuring our ongoing commercial loans success.
Extra office space
Again, early in the year and as a result of growing staff levels we expanded our office space within our York headquarters. Not only has this proved to be most worthwhile and a boost for in-house efficiencies, but the additional space we now have access to has also ensured that we have the essential ‘room to grow’ in future years.
For a company specialising in commercial finance and commercial loans such as Synergy, the key to our continuous growth has to be the strategic development of our funding panel and equally as important, the expansion of our national network of commercial finance brokers.
More funders than ever
The saying goes that ‘success spells success’ and at Synergy this is undoubtedly true. With the consistent growth of the success of our commercial loan, we have seen more and more of the UK’s top funding organisations wanting to join our ranks. Today our panel of funders now tops over 250 High Street and specialist niche market lenders … including over 200 commercial loans specialists who have joined our panel over the past twelve months.
Still more brokers
Similarly, we have to say that our network of independent commercial finance brokers has continued to expand. Thanks to our unique Broker in a Box support, our brokers have also enjoyed an excellent year and so it is little wonder that year on year there has been a continuous rise in broker companies who are interested in becoming a Synergy franchisee.
Since January 2020 we are delighted to welcome over 10 highly qualified commercial finance brokers into our network.
We’ve helped companies access CBILS support
There is no doubt that the coronavirus pandemic has seriously affected so many businesses, lots of whom have been ably supported by the government’s Coronavirius Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS). Synergy is proud to have been able to assist lots of affected companies access this vital support.
Because the coronavirus crisis has now lasted so long the CBILS deadline has already been extended twice and it is now available to UK businesses and employees up until the end of January 2021.
Let’s hope that the lockdowns and strict tier systems, along with the new Covid-19 vaccines, will by then begin to show signs of positive progress.
Time for our Christmas Quiz
As we said, the year 2020 is drawing to a close, but there is still one more significant event to look forward to. Thanks to the enormous success of our Oktoberfest online quiz that we held a couple of months ago, and of course with the cancellation of our traditional Christmas get-together … we hosted a spectacular Virtual Christmas Quiz on Thursday 17th December, sponsored by our friends at Fleximize.
Already this online event has attracted masses of interest amongst our brokers and we are confident that most of them will be taking part in what promises to be an enjoyable and socially distanced celebration.
